has anyone bought the deezee one? is it just a piece of angle aluminum that fits over the plastic or does it actually have the curved lip formed into the metal? i hate the generic picture of a chevy tailgate they show on the website ... nothing like our tailgate.

 

I tried to track down a photo of the deezee one with no success last year, if you can find one, post it up here so everyone can have a look!

 

I had a similar one on my 2003, but the taligate was different of course. Not sure how they pull off the thick, curvy cap on these.

Never seen a picture of the 2009+ one installed. Best bet is maybe buy one from someplace with a liberal return policy, if it sucks send it back. If you are a Prime Amazon member returns are quick and easy and they are showing a black one in stock. Summit/Jegs are easy for returns as well.
