Default Dual to Quad headlights

I switched out my headlights from duals to quads. When I put my highs on the low beams go out. Is this normal? I had read that I need to have my computer programmed so that it would recognize the switch. Is this doable? If someone has it done or someone knows what the procedure is could they let me know? My dealership said it could not be done but I'm sure there is a way. Thanks.

I have a 2011 Laramie, with OEM Quads. On brights, all four stay lit.

I've already been through this with my dealership. They could'nt get the lows to stay on with the highs. A call to chrysler confirmed that if your truck did not come with quads. it was not configured to work like that and you cant change it.

I converted a customers truck from duals to quads. I also installed low and high HID kits. I needed to use a custom harness from the HID company to make the HID's work properly with the DRL's so that there was no flickering. After the harness kit was installed, the lights work flawlessly and the lows and highs stay on together as well. The company is from Edmonton, Alberta and are called Beamers HID's.

Yeah the factory trucks with dual headlights won't support the quad headlights. However, if you do like Dustin said, you can install HID's and with the new harness all 4 will stay lit.
