factory supercharger???

Default factory supercharger???

I was talking with my dad the other day and he said a Guy he works with got a new Hemi truck with a factory installed supercharger, and its all covered under the factory warranty. Has anyone heard of this?

I've never heardof such a thing so on skeptical. Also anyone know about what price this would cost????

Starbandit: that's sick. Damn I wish I made more money! Good find.

Carguyohio: I feel the same way. That's what I was skeptical about. I would think that if you could get that factory installed and keep your warranty, a lot of people would probably do it

These engines really have a couple points to much compression to use a supercharger with any kind of boost safely.

I would think if you kept it to 6 PSI it would be fine. That would probably give you another 125 hp (or a tad more).

6 psi is what the Magnusson for our 4th Gens is pushing.

Yea but with a little less compression and more boost(which is what its all about) then it it makes a supercharger worthwhile. The factory supercharged cars all have forged pistons and less compression with more boost.

I had a Powerdyne unit on my 98 Ram. Lots of problems with the A/F mixture initially. I ended up using Mustang fuel injectors (24 lb) and a MSD btm. Kicking that in going 55 to pass some slow poke and looking down at the speedo to find you're well over 100 is scary, but FUN!!! Got pics if interested.
