hey guys, i own the 2009 trx 4x4 cc , 11,000miles in blue and gray. just noticed last week front bumper was pitted with rust. went to the dealer and was ready to argue that rust was not caused by winter road salt etc. manager took pix and information, typed it into dodge and an hour later dodge told them to replace the bumper. i was pleased as this was an expensive truck. i did some research and it turns out this is a problem on many new dodge trucks. so check your paint .

 

Very common issue. I imagine dozens of threads about it as well. Theres an RRT for it, issued around Sept/Oct 2010 I believe. Only certain trucks qualify even though they are having the issue...strange. Mine was just replaced under warranty instead of under the RRT. Don't know what difference it makes, but thats the route they took with my '09
