It's here, it's here!!!!!!!!

I picked up my truck today!!!! I ordered it on 1-17, it left Saltillo MX on 2-21 and arrived 3-3. About 7 weeks, and well worth the wait. She is a beauty, and will take a short road trip tomorrow to start breaking her in. I've got some de-badging to do, and a full claybar to butter wax planned for Sunday if the weather cooperates. I'll get some pictures up when I can. So to anyone who is waiting, just hang in there, you'll even get a window sticker that says " Built especially for "(insert name here)", which is kind of cool.

On a side note, the factory spray-in liner is flawless......well worth the $400.

congrats on your new truck....definitely waiting for pictures !

Can't wait to see pictures of your new truck. I assume you ordered a HD as you stated it was shipped out of Saltillo. Did you get a gas or diesel? I just waxed my truck the other day. Bar none ram makes the toughest best looking truck. Ok i might be a little biased.

Congratulations! Now you have the fun of tweaking and customizing things and adding accessories.

For your spray-in liner, is it more like Line-X (hard, somewhat slippery) or Rhino (softer, stickier)?

I second exactly what you said, line x is a smooth shiny plastic like a normal bed, where as rhino is this really gritty nasty liner that us work guys hate because dirt and everything else just gets stuck to it, where is line x cleans up super easy. stuff also slides on and off line-x easier than rhino line

Congradulations on the new truck!!!!!!!! I second id be a lil hesitant on waxing it asap you need to let the paint cure for a couple months (i know factory paint is oven baked but still wait at least a month) then put the wax to her! on a side note i didnt know if you ordered it your name came on the window sticker... gonna have to frame that lol.. I order mine just a couple days ago and i can tell this is gonna be a long wait, i think im gonna have to stop reading on the forum cause its making it worse lol

not to hi jack the thread...but i am active in the detailing world and would like to know if the chrysler paint is "soft?"

lots of people specifically ask for no dealer prep on their new cars, as they want to tend to the paint themselves....

just asking....

WNDERR Mar 5, 2011 12:46 PM

I would suspect "soft", as Chrysler recommends waiting 3 months.

My OEM bedliner (Warren MI) looks like LineX, feels like it too!

Put wax on ASAP, paint in cured, they polish it with power tools at the factory you think every paint job comes out perfect.....lets be real. Barely a one that doesn't get the polisher on it especially hoods, roofs, decklids.
