2011 pricing
hey everyone, if everything goes as planned i can most likely purchase a new '11 ram in about august/september. 1500 big horn is what i want, or even a 2500 gasser depending on payments, how much do people think can get knocked off of the sticker price. im not sure if the 2012s will be out then, but if they are dealers would want to clear old stock, if anyone has experience from last year getting their 2010's later on in the year chime in. i know its quite a ways away but whatever, thanks in advance.
Hard to know what the ecomonic and vehicle market will be then. I got $9600 off sticker when I bought mine, but trucks weren't selling much at that time. That was just about this time last year. I was the only one on a a specific huge dealerships lot or showroom all three times I went there looking...
I purchased mine in June 2010... I paid $10k below sticker. Also I got 0% for 60 months.... I found my truck on ebay. Localy I could not get near that price. I had to drive 250 miles for it... Shop all dealers within 4 hours.

Let the dealer KNOWWWWWWWW, that "they" NEED to sell a truck, and make them also listen to you when you tell them that you DONT need to buy a truck. If you move to quickly towards a deal, they`ll screw you in a heartbeat. Anyhow, that will start the ball rolling in YOUR favor. They need YOU more than you NEED, them...!!!! Works everytime for me. Get the exact deal you`re looking for and dont budge an inch. If you buy the truck in the same day, they`ve got you...!!! Make them sweat for it...!!!! Go back there a day or two later and tell them you can get a better deal somewhere else but you`d rather keep your business local. You`ll be glad you did in the end result this way. Start with offering the deal real low balled, then they can try to work you up from there, and they will...! Remember, they HAVE to sell the vehicle, they dont wanna sit on them any longer than they have to, because they pay huge intrest on those vehicles to sit on their lots...HAHAAAAA, gottem by the ***** on that one...!!!!! Big piece of advice, WATCH THE PAPERWORK, they`re really good at moving figures all over the place to pass the smoke over a deal and you`ll be blindsided by it if you dont watch it carefully....!!!! They dont call them stealerships for nothing.
Get them to give you free oil change`s & small services WITH synthetic oil included. (i got my oil freebie for the life of my truck as long as i own it. I put on over 20,000+ miles a year, so it was VERY well worth it to me to get free synthetic & filter services...!!!!)
(If you get a free syn/oil change deal, watch them to make sure they`re putting the syn/oil in too, some dealers are very very sneaky about that an will use crappy regular bulk oil when you aren`t watching them every minute)
Its amazing what you can get for free when they wanna sell you a new vehicle...!!!
Maybe get them to throw in some running boards, rhino bed liner, remote start, the deals are wide open...!!!
Tons of deals can be had, just stay firm on your deal, and make sure they follow thru. No verbal agreements either...!
Its the written word that counts...!!!
Also keep in mind of the gas prices...trucks are NOT selling right now...!!!!
Its a buyer`s market right now...!!!!!! Name your price, and you might get it alot cheaper than you think...!
GOOD LUCK....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I forgot freebes. In addition to the 9600 off I mentioned they threw in a Line-X bedliner - worth about $400 I think.

thanks guys i know alot will factor in the price due to how the economy is, i also live in canada, if that even makes much difference on how the dealers are. unfortunatly im like 6 months away from possibly getting one, almost got one beginning of january, but had some issues, im super excited to get this truck it just hurts driving past the dealership to and from work everyday seeing all these beautiful trucks
on another note, has anyone tried to get a price reduction or deal of some sorts on the mopar lift installed? im quite capable of doing the lift myself with help of course, but warranty issues im kind of worried about would suck having certain things get voided on a brand new truck

I just bought a 2011 Laramie 4X4 Hemi back on Feb. 19. I paid 7500.00 less than sticker price plus I traded in my 06 Laramie 4X4 Hemi that I bought used in January 2009 and they gave me what I paid for it. I couldn't help but feel a little like I still could have gotten a little better deal after I got home though.
I do all the BS legwork in the beginning on the phone and via email like the back and forth, then they keep saying come in and I say I don't like to waste mine or their time which is true the price of gas I am not gonna keep going in back and forth unless I know and you can tell when you are gonna be able to make a deal. You let them call you, if they don't wait 3 or 4 days and shoot them an email....with something like any luck. They will reply bugging you to come in they figure you are more apt to sign if you see the truck drive it all that crap, well I do that before at a total different dealership...ya I know I am a jerk but guess what you get two dealers fighting for your business and booya you get the best deal. Just tell them what you want and say another dealer you just left can hook you up with "blank" 9 times out of 10 they will beat the deal cuz remember whatever the first guy said is his first price so you might wanna fudge the numbers a bit. LOL It's so much fun you make me wanna go out and buy a new Challenger or Charger SRT..that new Charger is beautiful. I would be tempted to get out of my truck into that AWD Charger.
Well good luck but make sure your don't look anxious. I have my eye on that new Durango, my wife brought one home while our truck was getting the new rims put on, the owners loaded Blueberry coloured gorgeous. loaded with HEMI and all. What a sweet ride...but so much money.
