Default Rf axle seal

My wife went for a oil change today, when I got home I looked at the report and it shows: "Note: RF axle seal is leaking. Diff fluid is good." . They did not mention anything to my wife, should I be making another appointment asap?

I would definately make an appointment.Evidently your right front axle seal is leaking,or more so,damp, because your not loosing fluid yet.Make them fix it while it is under warranty. It's funny why they didn't tell your wife,or even tell her the seal would be ordered, and arrange for her to bring it in for repair.

Have you had RRT 10-029 done yet? That RRT is for that seal.

TO
: ALL RAM DEALERS

FROM
: TECHNICAL SERVICE OPERATIONS

SUBJECT
: RAPID RESPONSE TRANSMITTAL #10-029 Front Axle Disconnect Seal
Weeping

INVOLVED VEHICLES
:
2009 - 2010 (DS) Ram 1500

NOTE: This Rapid Response Transmittal affects both sold and unsold vehicles.
NOTE: The VIN List is available on DealerCONNECT for all affected dealers. The
VIN List has been inserted in the Service Tab under Rapid Response
Transmittals. The dealers receiving the Rapid Response Transmittal
Service Action are the “Ship To” dealers and the VIN’s listed are specific
to their dealership
. All involved vehicles will be loaded into the VIP
system.
NOTE: This should be a top priority and be completed prior to sale to avoid
suspect vehicles being delivered to customers.
DISCUSSION:

Some Ram 1500 four wheel drive vehicles may have a condition where the front axle
disconnect seal (Figure 1) could weep axle fluid during cold ambient temperatures. The
front axle seal needs to be replaced with a revised seal.

All recalls on the trucks are done. I don't remember having that recall however.
Turns out they did order the part, they just didn't tell us, waiting on it to come in to get it replaced.

Its not a recall, its an RRT (a little different). If its still under warrenty then no problem.
