Default why no 4.10 from tge factory ?

I have built quite a few RAMS on dodges website, and I noticed the only truck that is offered with a 4.10 gear ratio is a 4x2 regular cab sport r/t. Why, if its offered for that truck, can you not get it on any others??

Wow that made no sense. I meant why can't you get it on another truck? Seems like it fits in our axle so it should be offered, right?

Well, fuel economy would take a hit if you had 4.10 gears and that's probably the main reason at this point. The R/T is a little more performance minded, so that's why you see it on that model truck. Of course, it also comes with a 2600K stall as well. Which, for a truck is getting up there a ways.

I've heard about a 3.99 and a 4.10LSD coming soon to replace the 3.92, but nothing has been set in stone yet.
