Not too loud really, I lined the storage box with dynomat and the compressor sits on top of a 1/2 thick piece dynopad, with the lid closed the carpet and then my all weather floor mat, you can hear it but it isn't too loud. I put it instead of underneath to keep it clean.

I wish now I had the rambox. I think I could fit both the compressor and the tank inside there if I had it.

I bought that at Walmart for around 40 bucks or so.

Default lift

Is your truck lifted at all or are the tires the big difference? My tires are getting close to the end of the line and I am thinking 285/65-20's myself and am wondering if I should do that first and get a look at it or lift it at the same time.

Thanks.
Thanks,

I have a 2 in leveling kit from Topgunz customs and a 1 inch spacer on the rear springs. I plan to do a 4 inch lift, I think I might go with BDS. I checked out Superlift, Skyjacker, Zone, Rancho, and BDS, They seem to have the best "no fine print" warranty in the business.

If you want to level your truck I would suggest the Bilstein struts insead of a spacer. This will eliminate the problem of the 4x4 shudder a lot of people are having due to leveling kits. It seems on some but not all 4th gen trucks the cv joints don't seem to like the steep angle put on due to the leveling kit. thats just my 2 cents.

Default OBA Tank

I mounted the tank under neath right next to the floor storage compartment that the compressor sits in.

There are some weights mounted on these trucks on each side of the frame. I'm not sure what they are for, maybe to balance or lower the center of gravity of the truck?? Anyway I cut the one on the driverside off in order to fit my tank there next to the frame sorry no pictures.

I'll try to take some pictures today, since I'm gonna redo the plumbing on my air fittings cause I have a slow leak.

I have the rambox on my truck, and you would have the room for both the compressor and the tank. I thought about doing something like that, if I decided to put in air bags to level the truck. I still may go that route, but don't know for sure yet.

Yeah, I'm thinking about airbags as a possibility as well.

New to all this. Just picked up my first 2010 ram with the hemi. This is probably dumb question. But what is the retractable cable on the inside of bed for.
