Terrible customer service from online retailer
I recently bought a SteelCraft grille/brush guard from buyautotruckaccessories.com.I do NOT recommend buying anything from buyautotruckaccessories.com to anyone. After installation, several days later, I noticed some slight damage/scratches to the passenger headlight grilles not caused by me, I haven't been offroad yet with it and I was VERY carefull installing it. It arrived to me late in the afternoon so part of the install was done almost in the dark. Called their customer service twice and they flat lied to me, and SteelCraft customer service, both times and would NOT help me at all stating that since I had mounted the guard they no longer were bound by their own "100% Satisfation" warranty. They would not even entertain me purchasing replacement parts at my own expense!
SteelCraft's customer service was FANTASTIC and shipped me the replacement parts FREE!!!! They are a great company and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Thanks for the heads-up.
Unfortunately, it seems that these smaller on-line companies are much more likely to have crappy customer service than good. In fact, many of the smaller on-line companies are just a couple of loser-beer-drinking buddies getting together and thinking that they are going to strike it rich selling stuff on-line. And they don't have any interest in doing anything except selling stuff. Customer service after-the-fact is something they don't think about or want to deal with.

Just a question, when you said you called the company you bought from and steecraft you got no customer help. But at the bottom you say that steelcraft customer service was fantastic for service??? Or was that from someone else qoute regarding there service.
pretty sure hes quoting someone else
Originally I called SteelCraft. They said I needed to go through the on-line company because they don't deal with the public. So I called BuyAuto and they called Steelcraft while I'm on hold, then when they got back on the line they said " SteelCraft doesn't warranty the item after it's mounted" and I was just out of luck. I called SteelCraft back and they were totally taken off guard when I told them what BuyAuto had said since they did not say the warranty was voided. Then SteelCrafts customer service guy, Tony, proceeded to get his boss involved who decided that since BuyAuto was giving me a hassle they would go ahead and send me the replacement headlight grill part free..... even the shipping. They were polite, understanding, broke their normal policy and made me a happy customer.
