Sorry if this has been asked already. I did see a post on this once but I can't find it again. I'm trying to figure out the difference between the tow/haul mode and the O.D Off mode where you set the trans to 5th gear to eliminate the MDS. Someone posted the gear ratios for both and the benefit of each mode. Theres not much in the manual about it. Basically, i'm trying to find the best "setup" for driving around town. My 2011 1500 seems to operate smoother when driving around town when the MDS is deactivated using one of these methods. Any info would be appreciated.

 

I believe tow/haul have different shift points and only goes into 5th gear. When you slip it in to 5 that just removes the mds ???
