Default Mldg between cab & bed

Was looking around my truck this afternoon, when I spotted this mldg leaning foward. I can not recall it doing that. So does any member have this piece flat against the bed, or does it lean foward as well.

It's not that hard to find. You look where your cab and bed meet. You have a gasket that runs down the bed on each side, you look to the center and down toward the frame you'll see another piece. This is the piece I'm talking about, is goes about the width of the bed. I would take a picture but, I took my truck to shop tonight for some repair work.

Since the bed of the truck would be torqueing and twisting with heavey loads it is separated from the cab, imagine the squeaks and rattles if it wasn't.

The gap would divert air, dirt and water from the road as you are traveling along up onto the back window and bed, so the molding should be there to keep that from happening.

I know that the moulding is there to protect back of the cab from road debris, and is attached to the bed. What I want to know if other members have this piece and its attached tight against the bed. If it suppose to be tight against the bed, then I'll have dealer fix this problem.
