Tallest on Factory 17's
You can check my new tires thread if you'd like, but I just put 33" Pro Comp Mud terrains on mine... those are 12.5" wide and 17" rims - OEM ram rims.
You couldn't go lower than 17" rims as it wouldn't clear the calipers/breaks otherwise.
I'm sure it would clear 35" though.
I have a 3" lift in the front though so I don't know how that affects it.

Rule of thumb is the tire should be 3" wider than the wheel, with 1" -/+ being considered "within spec".
The problem you run into with a tire that is much more than 4" wider than the wheel is the bead seal will fail much easier, causing you to lose the tire. Often happens on a fairly tight turn at decent speed when the outward force on the bead is greatest.
Also, if you go off-road at all and air down, the bead is 100x more likely to fail when the tire is too wide for the wheel. Been there, done that - no friggin' T-Shirt...
