Default Anybody Else Having Ignition Issues???

Whats up guys...just want to see if any of you are having the same problem as me.

Basically Ive come to the conclusion the ignition switch is a POS. Its supposed to have the "tip to start"...im lucky if mine even starts

-turn the key, release, nothing.
-turn the key, hold in start position, nothing.
-turn the key, hold in start position, wiggle, sometimes it will start...other time it will crank over once or twice and stop.

And sometimes it will start and shut off after about 3 seconds of run time.

All the while the gauge cluster is flashing, like you were turning the key on and off...same with all other electronics obviously.

So has anyone had an issue with theirs? I brought the truck back to the dealer and they said they couldnt do anything cause there were no codes and it was fine when they had it. Its an intermittant problem and its really annoying

Anybody have similar issue?

I've never heard of this problem before but it seems to me they should just replace the ignition and be done with it.

Not one ignition switch issue or starting issue/problem in just over 2 years on my 09. It is one of the early builds for an 09.

Might want to check the connectors on the bottom side of the TIPM and see if one is not locked down.

Yeah like oldjeep said, sometimes those connectors will come loose. That's about all you can check for this particular problem that I can think of. Unless maybe you have moisture in your ignition packs or something. I'm not sure that would cause this issue though. Not too smart about these new ignition systems.
