Default lugnut key

Long story short I lost the key and currently have the pathetic spare on the truck while my newly patched tire is sitting in the bed.....anyone know how to get a new one?

Just weld a nut to it so you can remove it and then throw them away.

Or go to sears and buy a set of these. ANyone who actually wanted to steal your wheels would already have a set.

Thanks I appreciate it! Now I relieze those keys just make people feel secure, but in reality do close to nothing in stopping someone from taking your rims if they really want them

FWIW, when i bought my new rims & tires I switched to fluted lugnuts... each lugnut needs the socket that matches the flutes so it's like every lugnut is a locking one. It won't stop someone with the lugnut removal sockets, but it will sure take a lot longer having to remove all the lugnuts with this tool than just 4!

Cordless impact and a locknut remover I could have all 20 off in under 2 minutes, but if they make you feel secure just make sure you don't loose the key
