Help
This week has been unusually rainy. Today after work I was going about 60-70 km/h and notice a large build of of water on the road. Unable to change lanes I hit the puddle(lake) and pushed through. When I pulled up to the light I noticed that the truck was now much louder then usual. I stopped at a service station to check over the truck but could not find anything. I'm hoping that there is just some water that needs to be pushed out of the system but I'm unsure. After driving for another half hour home the truck was still loader than usual and when I start it the truck roars and I'm afraid I might damage somthing. Any ideas what I might have done? I checked the air cleaner housing and it's dry. Oils seem good and no obvious signs of damage to the exhaust.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
hmm...just a guess here, but maybe the water separated the exhaust a little bit. I think it's all just clamped so maybe a clamp was lose. I'd have someone sit in the truck and rev it a couple times while you try to figure out where the noise is coming from. Good luck.
