Question blowin smoke

2009 Ram 1500 4.7 59k issues with sputter and blowing smoke when i have been driving for more than 40 miles and come to a stop or turn.

Presuming your still under warranty. Take it to the dealer, it's their problem, not yours.

x2 if it is an 09 and you are the original owner then it has the lifetime warranty on the powertrain. Sure wouldn't keep driving it with it behaving that way.

IF it's blue smoke then;
Sounds like you've built up enough oil in the belly of your intake manifold. I bet if you take off your air filter tubing and look into your T/B with a flash light, your all carboned and oiled up on the inside of your T/B. Check your PCV valve and make sure it's not clogged.

IF it's whitish colored smoke;
from overheating as weedahoe suggested
