25k miles and my 09 is costing dodge some $$$
Hell if I can run it hard enough (without getting a ticket) I might be able to break all that crap again b4 the warranty expires.
and the fact that you admit you chip it is all they would need to void everything on your truck.
Dont be naive, they look for any and every excuse to void your warranty, just look up other threads on this forum and others and you will see, and this right here is all they need.
I have no problem how you drive your vehicles, its your vehicle and its yours to do what you want, but dont be surprised when they tell you to kick rocks when trying to get things fixed for free.

No If you read my post above I admitted that out of my last 5 trucks I have had 2 with known problems that the auto makers wont fix properly.
There are customers on this forum who have paid out of pocket to have an aftermarket torque converter installed in their 2009,10 and 11 model trucks that are still in warranty because after having them replaced 2 or 3 times in less than 36k miles they got tired of taking them to the shop and just bought a good one. I wont do that and I am also going to make sure if a part is going to fail due to a manufactures defect that it fails at 34k miles under warranty rather than 37k miles and I pay out of pocket.
I fix computers and networks for a living and there are specific models of dell, emachines, toshiba's etc that I can tell the customer exactly whats wrong with the computer the second they walk in the door before they have said a word. On these specific systems I will be right 99 times out of 100. Those computers have known defective parts and if a customer can manage to get those parts replaced under warranty rather than pay for them then I would call that a customer who is only trying to get what he or she paid for.
You guys go ahead and baby your trucks but when you are paying for a new torque converter (and the damage it caused) at 50k miles just remember this post and the dumb as* who posted it.

im not disagreeing with you at all, all i am saying is be careful what you post in these forums, ive seen first hand experience from the corvette forum where a customer service rep saw somebody post something similar to you and they red flagged him in the system. When you post that you purposely abuse your vehicle they can use that statement to deny warranty claims.
On the Dodge diesel forums posting such has come back and bit posters in the ***. 'THEY" figured who they were and when taken in for warranty work got a huge shock when they were red flagged for DSM inspection and approval on any and all warranty claims before work could be done. Besides you sound really immature.

Well I understand where you are coming from. I really do. Brand Loyalty is a thing of the past though. So if the ram does not do right by you, go on to the next Manufacturer. It is probably cheaper for Ram to continue using the parts they already have than to retool or get it's suppliers to fix the problem. Fact of life I am afraid. Yeah we could all get on the pissing train and send letters to Ram, well Fiat, or whomever, and see what happens, but I'll bet it takes years to see any change in how they do things.
I just keep telling people, if something isn't right and the dealer does not take care of you, get a demonstration permit, and park out front with a big a$$ sign stating the issues. I am pretty sure it will get fixed. Bad press is worth way more, negatively speaking, than a set of rotors, or even a Torque converter.
BTW, these are trucks, and marketed as the meanest baddest things on the planet. Did anyone see the Ram challenge on TV? They beat the snot out of those trucks. Shouldn't the truck be able to stand up to the hype? Certainly not if my rotors are warped after only 30,000 miles. Not if there are metal shavings, cracked valve stems, warped bed railing covers, water in my mirror lights, water leaking in my cargo light, bad tie rod ends after 30K,etc. What else will happen? Who knows. I know one thing though. They damn well better take care of it when I roll in, or I won't be buying another Ram.

hey smartguy been working on these trucks for years and i can tell u that with wi tech and new diag procedures that your service guys can tell that u have a programmer in your truck if you have an 09 u should have lifetime powertrain warr. and the ecm has a no overide memory that leaves trace of programers even if you take them out so either you have really a really stupid service shop or u have just got lucky so far sooner or later they will quit fixing it under warranty

theres a lot that can be considered yes there are times when a faulty ecm is the case but if you get multiple cases on the same vehicle and your not getting correct readings any time as long as its in the shop you know somethings up
