Default Lighting help

I am definitely thinking about going to a HID setup or possibly switching out the stock bulbs for some Silverstars. It's my understanding that some of the new Rams have a quad headlight setup and some a dual setup. I believe I have the dual because my owner's manual states that the bulbs are H13s. I hear that the Quad Headlights usually only come on trim levels higher than the SLTs.

Could you guys assist me with what I need to be looking for here and possibly drop me some links for some good setups. If I go the HID route which I think is probably the better option then I want something that is bright white light. Not blue, pink, or the like.

I appreciate any help you guys can give me. If I do buy something I'll be sure to post some pics up of the results.

If your high and low beam are the same bulb then you have the Regular lights not the Quads. The Quads are H11 Bulbs
Get something in the 5000K colour/temp range, 4300K is still a little yellow and is used by most factory HID systems and 6000K have a slight blue Hue to them (personally I love 6000K I have it in my fogs and headlamps).
If you want to keep your Highbeam operational then get a Bi-Xenon Kit.

Go with the HID's. The silverstars will cost you about the same and you will have to change them out more frequently with brightness not on the same level as the HID's. There is an easy way to tell if you have duals or quads. Look at the headlight and if you have 3 bulbs in each headlight (one blinker and two headlights) you have the quads. I went with ddm tuning (35$) for my setup. I love the look of my 6k's. They are a pure white, maybe a slight hint of blue but nothing to ricey.... A little more work on the install for the hid's but nothing a couple beers and a couple hours cant fix. Good luck man......Deuces!

Thanks for the info guys. How easy is it to install HIDs by yourself? I am not exactly a rocket scientist when it comes to electrical components and wiring.

Its all completly plug and play very very simple
And also order yourself a set of Capacitors/Cancellors (same thing)
They will stop the flickering problem most people get when the computer
goes nuts wondering why a 35watt load is on the 55watt circuit..
Fog lights wont need the capacitors..

Thanks for the info. Any specific brands that you would recommend?

You get hit or miss reviews with these guys but personally I have ordered
all my kits from HIDextra.com
All kits have worked fine since day one , my old truck I sold recently still had
the same bulbs and ballasts I purchased two years ago working just fine.
One catch to almost all HID kits (again hit or miss) is the ballasts will cause RF
interferance with your Tire Pressure sensors and give you a light on the Dash. As of yet I dont think there is a fix for this..

This is what mine looks like with the 6000K HID's in the head and fog lamps.
Pics will never do HID's justice though.. the ouput over stock is seriously night and day..
