So it may be that the $1895 is going to be about the general price for me to find. Looks like I may be doing it through them then. If I do, I will be sure to post the difference.

4WheelParts are idiots, avoid them like the plague. They completely screwed up my install, so much so that it was grinding the gears down and screaming like a banshee, and they swore up and down that was normal. If I hadn't been deploying I would have sued their butts 7 ways to Sunday.

Yeah, I pretty much stay away from 4WheelParts ever since they quoted me a higher price on the lift. Ever since I went with Rock&Roll Ofroad, I have pretty much stayed with them. At least I know they do good quality work. Might be worth a little to stick with who I know will do a good job.

Off road concept quoted me just under 2100 for front and rear with rear locker, lifetime on parts and labor if the part broke. Can't beat that price, 4wheelparts wanted 2400 and another 300 for warr. For three years. Going to let them do the work in three weeks.

My guys at Rock&Roll Offroad said they may be able to get it in, but if they are too swamped, they will send it over to Ft Worth Gear and Axle. That is all they do over there and may get a discount on the labor. I was advised against getting the rear locker. So it will be Yukon gears with Timken bearings and the follow-up with everything for $18**. Waiting for Jared to get back to me on if they can hook it up or get me in over there.

What brands are they going with for everything? I am guessing the shop is in San Antonio? I wont take anything to 4WheelParts. Heard too many bad things about them along with their high prices!! lol

These guys are in Plano and I always see great rigs outside their shop. I know it would be a drive but might be worth a quote (even if over the phone)!

I wouldn't do a full locker in a truck that was in any way, shape or form a daily driver myself UNLESS it was selectable. But the stock LSD is a total POS, even if they have fixed the dreaded "c-clip" issue. You often need to apply a bit of brake or slightly pull the e-brake just to get it to engage.

I had an Auburn LSD put in my 2nd Gen (it came with an open diff, never understood a 4WD coming with an open diff?). I put the same in my 3rd Gen almost six years ago. Still does exactly what it's supposed to do - engages when you need it and don't know it's even in the carrier when you don't...
