Hey, my one key fob is screwed the unlock and lock work occasionally. The remote start works fine. Anyone have the same issue with a solution? Thanks. I apologize if this a frequent topic, tried the search and went 4 pages back. I spend most of my time in the second gen.
I am trying to find information on the same thing. We have always had issues with the door locks and everytime we took it to Dodge they would say "unable to duplicate" BS!! Now the truck is about 7,000 miles past warranty and the front passenger door wont lock and unlock with the rest of them.
had my 2011 in for service told them one key fobs was messing up they checked it out there is a flash for the key fobs call your dealer about it . now mine works great
When this happens to me I open the FOB and rotate the battery a little. You will see marks on the battery where it makes contact with the buttons, so I rotate the battery a little to give it a new contact spot. Put it back together and problem gone.
I just love the "unable to duplicate" statement. I have had the same problem with the key fob. I always lock with the remote. One time I tried forever to unlock it and it wouldn't. So I took the little key out and opened the door. Well, then the alarm went off. The only way to get it to shut off is by using the key fob, which finally started working after the alarm went off for about 3 minutes. I was at the gas station, and a guy with a Ford looked over and made the comment, "Shoulda bought a Ford." I was soo pissed off, I told him to F off, and told him I would have bought a Ford if I couldn't afford anything else too...You should have seen the look on his face!!! Then I got in and left about $20 of rubber right in front of him....amazing how a HEMI can change your mood. Anyways, still have the intermittant problem and warranty is almost up.
