Anybody knows if a tonneau cover from a 2007 Ram Quad Cab would fit my 2010 Ram TRX4 Quad cab. I know my box is 6.4. Not sure on 3rd generation if they were 6.3 or 6.4 and if the width would be the same? Anybody knows??

 

No. Part numbers for tonneaus are different from 3rd to 4th gen

 

I have the Lorado roll up cover on my truck. It was the same one from my 2006 short bed. $400.00.

Maybe some have a different piece or design for the curved section of the tailgate cap

 

I know the part numbers are different and dimensions aren't exact but has anyone tried this yet? I'm really interested to see if a 3rd gen tonneau will fit. I'm looking at upgrading to a 2012 2500 Mega Cab. The length of the box is exactly the same but I'm seeing that the box of the 4th gen is a little wider.

 

Depends on the tonneau. I had a rolbak in my 07 shortbox, it does not fit in my 2011 so I have to get a new one. (Ive been told anyways) The rails have to be pretty precise tho, an inch on either side will cause it not to roll at all. I know some tonneau makers make it so you can move things around a bit an "make it fit". But i think it kinda more applies more to the fold ups, or the ones that overlap the box...TO MY UNDERSTANDING
