Default Brand new truck - transfer case problems

I'm beside myself about this..I've only put 600 miles on my new 1500 laramie 4X4. Today, for the first time, I put the truck in 4X4 low. Dove the truck about a mile at 15 MPH, came to a stop, put the shifter into neutral, then rotated the "electronically shifted transfer case" back into 2WD. The truck won't come out of 4x4 low. I called the dealer. They said "if you drive the truck on pavement then you have to place the vehicle in reverse to get the truck back in 2WD." I have thoroughly read the owners manual the viewed the provided CD, which comes with the truck, and there's nothing about having to "place the vehicle in reverse and back-up." Oh...and the 4WD service caution light comes on anytime I shift the electronically shifted transfer case out of 2WD. Anyone have any thoughts ? Dealer said this is normal.

It was difficult for me to get my truck out of 4lo the first time i used it as well. It took numerous curse words and verbatim reading of the manual. I dont remember what i had to do but good luck... Try putting it in 4hi and then 2wd?

Actually i remembered what i did... Shift the truck into neutral, place the transfer case in neutral, then shift transfer case into 2wd and truck into drive
