2009 Ram Seat Cover replacement
My 2009 Ram has the seat recall on it. The dealer told me about this last time I was there to have it serviced. I explained that my seats still look great and that I would prefer to put it off until they needed replacement. This was about 6 months ago. Just got an e-mail from the dealer asking me to schedule an appointment to have this done as they ordered the covers for my seats. I told them I am delaying this process as long as possible.
Is it possible that if I keep delaying, that they will not honor the recall once the seats give trouble? I also thought about the longer I wait, maybe my upholstery will fade and not match the new covers when installed?
Anyone had issues with these new seat covers? Thoughts?

Mine were looking great too when I got the call. They now look like crap, at least the driver's seat does. It has big tears in the bottom seat. It will go in soon... We do have about 65k miles on it now...
Sorry to bring the thread back, but I'm looking at purchasing a used 2009 Ram Sport Crew with the perforated leathers. The driver's seat has a small tear in it - I had seen the info on the recall so I emailed Chrysler Canada and they claim there are no current recalls for the VIN on this truck (even though its at Chrysler now getting the tie rod recall done) and it wouldn't be covered under the K10 recall.
Am I SOL on this? I thought it was all 09s with the heated/cooled seats that were eligible - should I take it in and see if a dealer would do it for me? Kind of unfortunate that it's not being sold by a dealer so I don't have a relationship established. Or should I expect to save up for new covers while I watch the tear slowly grow and grow?
Thanks!
