Default missing antenna mount!

so, i was waxing my truck and in order to get under the little piece of plastic that covers the base of my antenna mount i had to unscrewing the metal piece that connected the two of them. after taking off the plastic cover, the metal antenna mount literally fell through the hole that it was sticking through. now i have no clue how to get it out of there. any suggestions?

sorry if this seemed confusing.

thanks for any help! i really dont want to have to go to the dealer to get it out of there. i've tried to go through the engine compartment and wheel well, but neither have access to where the antenna base fell.

Default Good Luck

Here is a pic and some info that might help:

The antenna body and cable is secured below the fender panel by the antenna cap nut through a mounting hole in the right front fender. The primary coaxial antenna cable is then routed beneath the fender sheet metal and through a entry hole in the right cowl side panel into the interior of the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, the primary coaxial cable is connected to a secondary instrument panel antenna coaxial cable with an in-line connector that is located behind the right kick panel. The secondary coaxial cable is then routed behind the instrument panel to the back of the radio.

I looked down in mine from under the hood with a flashlight and it looks like it can be reached with a flexible grabber tool. There is a 4x1" opening near the fender and hood hinge that you can retreive it from. Most auto part stores have these but make sure that it is a flexible cable type only. They are usually 25 to 30' long and the cable is around 5/16 thick with three fingers on the end that open up to grab like claws.

Maybe unbolt the plastic wheel well to get at it...?
oop`s, i guess i shoulda read the rest of his thread, looks like he already tried going thru the wheel well.

Yeah, what the other guyz say, remote grabber thing, may a really strong telescopic magnet...????
Dealer will probably pull the fender and give you some new free scratch`s on your truck.
