Cool Factory installed uconnect

I just got a 2009 RAM 1500 and it has the radio set up for the U-Connect system, but it says it isnt installed. Can someone give me advice on what my best options are? I would really like to have this in my truck to use for driving safety!

You have to get the mopar kit. I have one from a 2007 sebring I looking to get rid of. It didn't work in my 11, I had to get the 82212159 kit with the 82212160 ipod cable. Unfortunately its the most expensive mopar uconnect kit, but I found it online for under $250. The dealer will have to add the code into your radio so it knows its installed. They charged me 1/2 hour labor to do it.

Due to the vehicle being a 2009 and depending on what phone that you have, you may want to look into an aftermarket system. The reason that I say this is that yomay be wanting options that were not available on the Uconnect system back in 2009. Like: phone book, down load, streaming audio, True iPod hook up that will charge the ipod while playing.
Just a couple things to consider.
