Default Interior chrome trim.

What does everyone think about using the Dupli-color black chrome on the interior chrome on the Ram?
I really hate the chrome trim ring around the shifter. It is constantly blinding me and the black electrical tape I stuck on there when I got the truck looks like crap. Do you think it would cut down the glare enough and still look good?

A lot of us on here have blacked out the "Bling Ring" around the shifter. The Dipli-Color process looks pretty cool, but might be a little overkill for what little you're trying to accomplish. On mine I removed the ring (small screw driver) and then sanded it with an electric hand sander. I can't remember what grit I started with, but it was pretty high up there. I think 125 and then finished it off with 150, or maybe even higher. Basically I sanded off the chrome and got it down to the plastic without scratching it all up. After that it was three light coats of flat black, then two light coats of clear. It looks great, killed the bling, and only cost about 6 bucks since I had most of the supplies on hand already.
