Default Flip-out tow mirrors on a 2009 Ram 1500?

After visiting a local dealership asking about the flip-out tow mirrors (not the telescoping mirrors) I've seen on the '10, and '11 Ram 1500's, 2500's models, I was informed they will not work on the '09 models. Something with the mirror control module was different. They'll bolt up to the existing location, but are not compliant with the '09 model.

Anyone else try these on an '09 Ram, and know of any other modification needed to work properly. Or have I been misinformed by my dealership.

I've got them on mine. I never had the signals or puddles activated but the mirror controls and defrost works just fine.

These are the part numbers for the power/heated/chrome towing mirrors with turn signals and puddle lights that I put on mine. Cost about $400 each

Thanks for the response oldjeep! That's actually the part numbers I have, I found on another forum with a vendor that's offering a group buy for $550 with the chrome set. Just surprised from the response I received from the dealership. He made it sound like the wiring harness was completely different.

The dealer doesnt know what he is talking about...'I have the newer tow morrors(2010) with the whole bottom piece or side piece that is a mirror there are 2 styles, (the other style has a smaller mirror in a square), they bolted up perfect, my (STOCK) old mirrors had the puddle lamps and turn signals, all of that STILL works perfect, it it worked before it will work again, first mod I did,(PLUGS RIGHT IN WITH NO DIFFERENCE ON MINE)

How are they power folding....do they flip up with a motor or do they fold back against the truck with a motor. Or do they do both

Power mirrors that can fold in to the truck (manually) and flip up manually. They do not "power fold"
