TSB/Keyless Entry
Hey Gang,
I know there was a very long thread on the Keyless entry and a good number of people having issues with the key fobs responding. I had two questions
1) was there ever a TSB or Update Anyone found for this that the dealership could perform..I honestly don't recall (huh) one being posted, more than just a lot of frustration (Which I completely agree with)
2) Is there a site I can go to to see open TSB's for my truck
As always thanks gang

Crud gets in the fobs. I have Ford,Dodge and Chevy fobs. After a while they all get poor. I open them up,carefully wipe off battery or replace wipe off contacts and put back together. Then they work like new. Cleaning them carefully is the trick. My wife does a better job of wiping the contacts, button contacts better then me.

you can visit https://www.dodge.com//hostb/crossbrand/owners/en/ and put your vin in the centre left to view recalls for your truck.

That just may do the trick. I had mine replaced at dealer for not working. Well, the replacement one stopped as well. Took apart and found the 4 prongs that make contact with the battery made some sort of corrosion marks on battery. I pulled out battery, cleaned contacts, rotated the battery a bit so the contacts touched a different part of battery. Works like new again !
Good service advisers do this a lot before selling a fob to a customer. I've had service advisers and techs that routinely cleaned contacts and if needed installed batterys at no charge. Fixed a multitude of fobs. On GM fobs dropping them breaks the plastic fingers that hold the battery in place. Have glued a few but not for customers. They usually break again quickly.
