Where wide negative offset tires rub on a 4th gen Dodge Ram 1500
I have a theory.. and have been asking on 3 forums now for several months... it will be an expensive experiment if nobody has done it or knows.
I want to fit 325/60/18 with a 18x9 -12mm offset rim with no lift or level.
This tire is not taller than my stock 275/60/20s.. but it' much wider and much further out.
My truck is a stock 2wd 2010 Ram - no lift no level. Don't want to change that either.
I suspect this setup will not rub anywhere inside thanks to -12mm offset vs +18mm offset. However I suspect it will rub on pointy fender corners.
I'd like to "neatly" cut, bend, grind my inside fender corners to solve the problem.
Will this work? Anybody?
Thanks!!!
