Default Aaaggghhhh! Please help with my bed extender question.

When I bought my '10 Ram it came with a bed extender. Like a rookie, I backed into a pole with the tailgate down and dented the top of the tailgate, which us now fixed. The repair shop lost the two "retention brackets" that the gate extender hook into. They were on the top of the inside of the tailgate. Dodge says they have to sell the entire extended gate for $700 but I just need the two brackets. Dodge doesn't know the manufacturer either. Can someone tell me the manufacturer of the gate extender so I can call and order the two brackets? Thanks for the help!

Don't know the source. If it is true the repair shop lost the brackets, they should be responsible to making it right for you. I would take it up with the repair shop.
