I purchased these from HIDExtra.com they are one of the sponsors to this site I do believe. They only sell the 30cm strips like I have, and only in blue and white. But I was looking for blue anyways so it all works out for me...

You can get these strips from many different sites, some sell by roll (like 10-20meters) Some by 1 foot strips. It all depends on what you want. Some make strips that you can cut down(like the ones on the roll) Some have 3m tape with them others make you buy your own. IMO there are endless possibilities with these strips, because they are a flex strip you could literally follow any curve that you wanted (up to a certain radius of course, but that depends on the strip) Nice thing about them too is that they are 12V, so you don't need to run it through any kind of controller. You can make your own controller with just switches and relays! Its a relatively cheap way to do things, plus its all custom. Mount where you want any way you like.

Sure some might not be high output like some of these light bars and whatnot, but at the price of these strips you can line more of your truck then you could with light bars.

I was a little uncertain if I wanted to drill into my headlights, so for intersection lights, I installed a push bumper and mounted LED's on the sides. Plus it gave me the option to move my siren speakers from out behind my bumper. 200 watt siren + 2 speakers mounted directly behind the front bumper = really freaking loud in the cab! The pictures are before I mounted the lights and speakers.

I was vol. in Texas for 5 yrs ... Certified through Texas A&M collage station .. EMT back then .. Rode the box for 3 yrs .. Made Capt. and asst. training officer . Make sure you know your state laws regarding lights and siren . Also Running lights into a intersection , you asking for right of way ... Be careful ... Your insurance comp. may frown on you if you do have a accident and they do not know what your using your truck for ?
CYA .... always

As for the lights, I have LED hide-a-ways in my tail lights, fog lights, and in my third brake light. I lost the rear cab lights, but never use them anyway. I have a toolbox in the bed with 4 LED's facing to the rear and one on each side, 2 dual head LED'S in the rear window and one on the dash, 2 grill LED'S and one on each side of my push bumper. Can never have too many! (Plus I got a really good deal) As for the siren, I have a Carson 500 handheld. The "brain" is mounted under the driver seat and I lay the control under my console. (I don't have the big console) My speakers are now mounted right behind the bumper, but as I said before, I will be moving them to the push bumper.

Can we see pictures/ video of this set up? It sounds amazing and probably looks even more amazing. Are you light controls integrated into your smart siren?

Here is a youtube link from last year when I had them installed (prior to my push bumper). Mine is the blue one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-T5W3lDDpQ&sns=em Two of the grill lights were removed and put on the side of the push bumper. As for light controls, they are integrated into the siren controls. It has 3 banks on a "pursuit" style switch, and 4 additional banks. I have all of my rear lights on switch 1, sides lights on 2, and front on 3. It also has a built in PA. The siren is a SC-550 Stealth by Carson, I said 500 originally.

Here is a link to the siren I have. I tried to upload a photo, but by the time I got it small enough to upload, you couldn't see it.

Jeez, both those trucks are lit up like a Christmas tree. It must have took a while to do both installs!
