10 amps is OK for a short quick charge but it doesn't full charge one with out doing damage. Slow and low is the formula.

I may have to get a new one to replace this dinosaur. But, hey .... If I've used it twice in a decade.
If it is pre-led then its a whole lot older than 15 years. I still use a 20 year old sears battery charger that has the LED's, 6/12 v 2a/10a/start with manual/deep cycle and auto settings. Very versitile charger that takes care of everything you could need. Costs maybe $80 now days

Try to google the battery model # to get the charging instructions. The one in my truck is an AGM and they need a good heavy charge for a specific length of time. My AGM motorcycle battery needed 10 amps for 2 hours. That was 3 or 4 years ago and it still works.

I'd question the instruction to charge a motorcycle battery at 10 amps......... more like 1 amp for 4 hours to initialize a new MCY battery. AGM or not!

Low and slow. 10 amp just throws a service chharge. You forget it and you cook the battery. I've charged 100s in my day.
