Cool Newbie!

Hey everyone-New to this forum here...I hope to learn some good ole info on the Ram trucks....I am thinking about purchasing a ram 1500 Laramie...only thing that is bothering me about the trucks is that they are not level.

I am guessing I could fix this problem with a leveling kit on the front correct?

Sorry if it's a dumb question-this will be my first truck.

Hey welcome to the site, I know your going to love it, and there is a ton of useful information on here.

I think overall its the best looking truck out there, and for the most part pretty level, meaning not as bad as some other brands or at least thats how it looks to me.

Welcome!...My best advice, you should jump in whatever vehicle you have now...drive to the nearest stealer, WAIT I mean dealer, and just drive it! You will love it right off the lot...Nothing drives like it!

I think it might have to do a little bit with the fact that it has coilovers in the back rather then leafsprings. I don't know if you knew if the RAM 1500s have that, but thats what makes the new Ram a Ram. You might be a little leary of that fact for towing but don't worry, lots of guys are ok with towing. On the upside, thats what gives this truck its great ride. It drives like a car...

If you have any questions don't be afraid to post (in the right section of course, but it seems you got er right on the dot on your first go!) but yes the search button is also your friend!

Welcome...!
First off, NO question is a dumb one, lots of people here can help you with most anything you need to know.
If you`re looking into buying a new one, i recommend buying the 2012...! The bugs are mostly all worked out of the 2012.
After you get 500 miles on the new one, dump the rear gear lube, have it refilled with VALVOLINE synthetic gear lube. (75w140)
One last thing, make sure you buy one with the LIMITED SLIP REAREND,...you`ll thank us all later..! (trust me on this)
Oh yeah, HEMI`s are required to be a member here, so buy the HEMI, or you`ll be suckin up dust from all of us. (hehehehe)
Just kiddin, buy whatever you can afford, BUT, the HEMI is an awesome engine.

As for not sittin level, you`ll get use to it. Start messin with the suspension your askin for trouble in my opinion.
If you do anything at all, do a drop kit on the rear. It`ll be KOOLER lookin when dropped. Also ALOT easier to do..!
