Default Need some help with tuners~~

I am looking at the Diablo trinity and was wondering who has it and is it worth the extra money then the predator? I was also looking at the sct tuners anyone have any information on these either.

Thank you

I don't have any of those tuners, but I do have a bullydog GT. I had it in my 07 and I was quite happy with it. Dodge is bullydogs specialty, the key being that tuner able to access system settings. For example DRLs, you want them off? All you have to do is click a button. You want High beams with fogs, click of a button. They have many others too but I have only seen it in bullydog, no one else. It is also a heads up display, giving all your MPGs, RPMs, Temps, kinda like the trinity.

There is one issue however, I am STILL waiting on confirmation of a tune being released. They have released a tune up to the 2010 ram 5.7 hemi, but nothing seems to be out for the 2011, and no one at bullydog knows! As far as I am concerned it should not be that hard cause the 2011 is not too much different then the 2010. HOWEVER I am not going to use the 2010 tune on my 2011, so still waiting from bullydog.

If thats something like what you might want, then you might have to wait. If not then stick around, someone should be around to tell you how the diablo is.

As far I as I have read, no tuning company has cracked the encryption for the 2011+ computers.

The trucks didn't change much, but the programming did.

I'd go Bullydog tuner as well. A friend of mine has it in his '09 Ram, both of us are stock except for CAI's, and on the dyno his put down 355 rwhp and mine put down 328 rwhp. If you drove both of them, you would swear there were two completely different powertrain setups.

Difference between trinity and predator is having real time display data and multiple custom tunes on trinity. Predator is a simple plug and play, with one custom tune saved. Same benefits power wise though on both.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I will check into bully dog.

I will be getting a mild cam and exhaust installed in my truck in two weeks.
I will have one custom tune of course so whatever programmer I get it needs to be
able to download an extra tune. My truck is an 09 so most of the tuners are out for mine if
I am correct.

Thank you

No, they just have their built in tunes, 89, 90, 91 octane levels. Of course you are able to set your WOT points and REV points. But nothing more then that. Those are all preloaded.

Reading from numerous post it seems like the diable trinity is the top of the line programmer, but comes with a price tag $$.

Bully Dog is really nice for someone looking for gains, but not a track racer.

Super Chips is nice, for more of a serious racer who is looking to make transmission adjustments.

Sct I have not heard much at all.

If you're still going through with the cam install and looking to have a CMR tune to follow, I wouldn't worry about automatic shift points at the track, you'll benefit more manually shifting the slap stick. I have track video (dash cam) I did with a friend pricing that point at Great Lakes Dragaway. You'll pull into third gear to soon letting it shift in auto.
