I have an 09 CC 4x4 with the 265/70R17 stock tires.
I found a set of BFG KM2's for a good price in 255/75R17.
Tires are 1/2 inch taller which will fit but are 1/2 narrower......
Anybody see any big disadvantages to a bit narrower of a tire?

It will actually be better in the snow.....

 

The 255 is .39" narrower and over all .45" taller, it will raise the ride height .23". It will put your speedo off by .93 mph. 65mph will be 65.93 mph. All these numbers are in the ballpark, nothing jumps out. Just check the clearances for turning ...ect. The big thing I would look at is the weight rating difference.

Run them, you wont have any problem...!
Likely to get better traction because the narrower tire wont hydro plane as easily
