Question Trying to get pictures from USB to Nav system.

I am trying to get photos from a usb drive to my pictures in my factory nav unit. When I go to my pictures and hit add, it gives me an option for a disc or a usb, but the usb is grayed out and I can not click on it. I have tried two differend usb drives and cant get the usb drive to open up.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Make sure the USB stick is formatted as FAT nor NTFS.

Do you have something plugged into the other USB port?
Are you inserting this in the deck or in the glove box port?

Nothing is pluged into the other usb. I have tried it both ways. I am mainly trying to plug it into the deck, but have also tried the glove box and get the same result.

I just put pictures on a disc and tried it that way and nothing. Got some bad static like the driver was trying to play the cd for music and a message saying cannot access divice.

I've had that problem and just kept trying different USB drives until I found one that it could read.

I added one mp3 file to the usb drive and everything worked fine. Seems like this should be mentioned in the manual!

I also had problems retrieving photos from my flash drive until I added an MP3 file.
