Default What, can't use tire chains on front of 2011 1500???

I don't need chains often buy occasionally we get snowed in at cabin and I've always carried chains just in case. Got to looking around the front end the other day and I noticed almost no clearance between tire and upper sus. arm. What the hell were they thinking on that design? Hopefully won't need them with these tires:

Those are a lot wider than a stock tire. You could get different rims with less backspacing to put them out away from the knuckle / a-arm further.

I have got through 3 feet of snow in a 2wd truck with chains on the rear. If you have a situation try just chains on the rear, you will be suprised how well it works..

The chains recommended for the rear are "Class S", they should also work in the front. I have some for the rear (2WD) and they work OK, but at least they won't tear out the sensors. They are easy to install compared to the regular chains.

Truck looks great and I like those tires too! I wouldn't think you'd get stuck very often, but hell, what better reason to just stay at the cabin!

you won't problems in snow but for ice you still need chains, especially going downhill. By the way, nice looking truck. How do the tires ride on hardtop? are they very noisy?
