Question MDS at a stoplight?

Should my 2010 truck switch to MDS while we're sitting at a stoplight? Seems like it would make sense to do so. But it doesn't...

Thanks!

Mine doesn't. I don't think that they are designed to switch at idle/low rpm - probabally a lot harder to keep the engine running smooth on 1/2 the cylinders at lower rpms.

If you take you foot off the gas and coast to a stop, you will feel the MDS turn off when you go below around 20km/h. I think it does that so when you start moving again, you are doing so on all 8 cylinders. It would moan and groan like crazy to start moving on 4.

Sitting at a light, listening to the radio. Seems like a good time to save some gas. Just sayin'
