They'll fit on the 20" rims just fine, but as 55-series, they'll be a bit wider and not quite as tall. That means better cornering grip, bit less sidewall flex to absorb pothole hits and freeway expansion joints. It also means your speedo will be slightly off - going a bit slower than speedo says...

they will be about a half and inch shorter than stock. if they are both a 275 then the width doesn't change at all.

275/60r20

275 is the width of the tire in mm from the widest part of the outer sidewall to the widest part of the inner sidewall

60 is the sidewall height measured from the rim to the tread. It is a percentage of the width. So, a 60 is (275 x 0.6) 165mm

A 55 (275 x 0.55) would be 151.25mm

I went from the stock goodyear 275/60/20 in favor of some 275/55/20 hankook snow tires cuz my I only run my stock wheels in winter. They fit fine they just look more low profile and have a wider appearance although they arent just a illusion. Size wize they arent that much shorter maybe 3/4 inch. 275/55/20 also are alot easyer to find and will be cheaper

yea, the actual uninflated width size doesnt change at all. however given they are beefier, when inflated they may sit thinner than your stock one. Your tires are going to be thinner and not as tall. so your speedo is also going to be off
