2011 Ram 5.7L stalling at stops.
This is the first somewhat serious problem that I've ever had with a dodge and it's kind of concerning.
A little history:
Unfortunitley a few months ago I got into a bit of a front end fender bender (my bad). It was mostly front end body work and replacement of radiators. So, nothing really to do with the engine or any of the drive train components.
So, I just got the truck back from the dealership this week (the accident was in early sept) and now I have a sticking lifter and the truck stalls when coming to a stop. It's almost like the trans isn't disengaging which causing the engine to stall out. I throw it in to neutral and fire it up lke nothing happened. Until the next random stall at a stop.
So, has anyone else experienced these problems with their 4th gens.
Oh yeah, the truck only has 12600km on it, if that adds any value.

That used to happen to my truck when it was first new. I ended up having a bad torque converter they had to change (not saying that's the problem but mine stopped doing after the repair) the torque converter is not unlocking creating ur truck to stall.
Just a thought

Not really no clunky I guess but it was like it still in gear. I would slow down to a stop and it would lightly shake and just stall like as if driving a standard truck and not pressing on the clutch when stopping
OK, thats exactly what my truck is doing. I'm going to do some searching around to see if anyone else has had a similar torque convert problem with their 4th gens.
Thanks guys for your input. I'll be sure to check back in on this thread to see if anyone else has some input.

TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP! You only have just over 12K on your truck with lots of warranty left. Let them deal with it! If it means having it in the dealership that much longer so be it. If the issue happens to be something that is gonna cause bigger problems, like something internally finally giving out. Now you could be in the need of a new engine, thats gonna take longer to replace then to replace something else that could be "minor"
I'm not trying to steer anyone away from finding out what the issue is, lets continue seeing if we can find the issue before the dealership does...Just saying to the OP to take it in, don't mess around with a practically brand new truck!

A torque convertor that does not unlock properly, WILL destroy a transmission in a very short time.
Not to mention, it isnt doing the rest of the driveline any good either.
(ie: transfer case, ring & pinion[s], u-joints, cv axle`s)
