Default Speed Limiter

I'm loving my 2012 Power Wagon , but, how do I get rid of the speed limiter ??? The motor shuts down at 160 km/hr -100mph, Is there a programmer out there that will turn this function off ???

On my SC you can raise up the speed limiter, but it's an 09, they don't even have a programmer out for the 2011's yet. It's the waiting game now.

Wow, those power wagon's are one cool rig. Don't they have 4.56 gears? That thing must whine right out going 100 mph!!!!

Dealer can do it with the StarScan tool, but good luck finding one who will. Short of that, only a tuner IF one exists for the 2012s yet...

Geez, that is not bad, 1900 at 60. I would have figured alot more. I am jealous, there is a 3rd generation in my town and evertime I see that power wagon I foam at the mouth.

Had the vehicle been on the market when I bought, I would have bought one for sure. My only regret is that I opted for a 1500 with the crappy IFS. Incentives were HUGE on the new 1500s when I bought and there were NONE on the 2500/3500 trucks. Not only that but the diesels I originally went to purchase were being sold at ABOVE sticker price in my area. I actually paid $17,000 less for my '04 QCSB Laramie Hemi 4x4 than the best deal I could have gotten on a 2500 diesel even though sticker price on that diesel was only $9000 higher. Hell, I bought my truck new off the lot AND a late model Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 to use as a daily driver and still spent almost $6000 less than the diesel would have cost me...

But my 2nd Gen 1500 was a SFA truck and I didn't even give the front end of a 3rd Gen 1500 being IFS a thought. My truck has been a fantastic truck in the 7+ years I've owned it and with over $13,000 in mods I've done and only 51,000 miles on the ticker I'm not getting rid of it soon (plus the fact the company I worked for just went bankrupt and laid me off doesn't help).
But in hindsight, I would have bought the 2500 for the SFA and had I known the Power Wagon was coming out the following year I would have waited for it.

As it is, I've spent big $$$ doing a lift and installing 4.56 gears and a winch that the PW would have come with...

Red face

Hammer, there is a 12' PowerWagon at a dealership about 30 miles from me. It was a Sunday so I thought I would take a ride and check that baby out. When I pulled in there was a couple guys who came down to check it out like I was doing and they found it on the net as I did. This PowerWagon was beautifull. And there are not to many vehicles like that. If you ever have the chance to check on a 4th gen PowerWagon, do it. I would love to get one but it will not fit under my carport. My neighbor just got a 12' F-350 extended cab, diesel, loaded, nav, power moonroof, heated/cooled seats etc. $59,349 was the sticker, that truck is gorgeous. You cannot even tell it is a diesel. But that PowerWagon certainly got my attention.

Actually just went for a drive and realized , its only 1800 rpm at 60 mph , I am starting to really dislike the traction/stability control though , even with trac control off, you cannot drift this truck, its unnerving, you set up for a drift into a corner, and the truck straightens out , hopefully a tuner comes out soon so , it can be shut off completely .

sure rides nice for a 3/4 ton though, I think its smoother than my 06 1/2 ton was , missing the 6 spd manual I had in that truck, this 6 spd auto stick takes some getting used too !!!
