Nate, unless something has changed RBZ is not made by the same supplier as the other radios from Chrysler, so no updates on that site. I figure that if the hardware is the same then you might be able to go to Mopar fr an update.

Well i just upgraded my REN radio to the latest file with success, except i do not see any difference maybe a bit faster selecting songs and whatnot. Still can't delete individual songs, i can delete individual songs in the playlist section, which i don't understand how they got there i never created them, and i can't find the artist i wan't to delete anyways. It's a pretty dumb setup, my truck is an 09 so maybe now it's different.

They don't have an update listed for my RHR either. So I gather the same thing with my deck, but I know they are the same manufacturer. You have to know too that the site I listed is not an official site, but its one of the only ones I have ever found in my day. If there is another site someone post it on here! I think the only other way to get an update is to take it to the dealer. If it still has warranty then it should be covered, but for those with 09s thats not an option unless you got the extended. 10s are probably just getting to that point that they are running out of warranty on theirs too (thats the 1 year, 60K)

you guys who are getting 600+ songs, I WISH! I can get maybe 20 albums on, because I have the full nav and everything. I tried to delete the mexico maps but no go. Again I say its a stupid setup like the rest of you, but what can we do? Other then upgrade to an aftermarket. What I do is just throw my music on a hard drive and have it plugged into the glove box. The only thing with this is I can't find a way to random an artist or album, it will just random the whole drive. Which is not all a bad thing, I can still listen to 120GB of data if I want.

The RBZ and RHR are made by Mitsubushi, not Harmon.

Where did you get that info? Not that I doubt you, but I was under the understanding that Harmon and only Harmon owned the right to Mygig...

You can find the manf info all over. As an example if you go to the mofv Mygig site, click on the RBZ and unlisted radios button. Has the info there as well as an address.

The reason that site doesn't offer updates like on the older radios is because their contact at Harmon has nothing to do with the Mitsubishi radios. If I remember correctly, Harmon said they were losing money on the radios so that is why they stopped producing them.

The next gen radio which is called Uconnect Touch and has a 8.4" screen is made by Panasonic.

My truck is from July 2010 and I can delete individual files.
Never attempted to use the voice commands so far.

Is it a 2010 or 2011? My 2010 was built in May 2010.

Can you post the directions for how you delete individual songs on your radio? And is the radio the RBZ or another model?

Thanks,
Rob

Full instructions for the RBZ are here:
http://www.dodge.com/download/pdf/ma...RBZ-OM-1st.pdf

Didn't find a link for a 2010 version, but the pdf file name does indicate 1st, so maybe your 2010 truck has a 2011 RBZ?

Quick browse shows that there is a method for deleting individual songs...

All the other models are listed here:

Thanks for posting the link to the RBZ manual. I forgot there were manuals on-line for the radios. Though the one you posted is for a 2011 radio and is very different from my 2010 RBZ, I did then remember that I downloaded the 2010 manual when I got my truck.

I looked through the manual and found out that there is a way to delete individual files. It is cumbersome and painful, but it does work. Here's a summary:

  1. Figure out what song you want to delete. Remember the album name and song name.
  2. (This assumes you're playing songs from the hard drive at the time.) Press 'My Files' button.
  3. Press 'My Music' screen button, then 'Edit My Playlists'.
  4. Playlists are, by default, apparently, auto-generated based on the albums you load. So, you have to scroll down through the alphabetized list of playlists/albums to the album where the song lives.
  5. Once you find the playlist/album, press the 'Edit' screen button next to it.
  6. Choose 'Delete songs from this playlist'
  7. Scroll to the song and press it to select.
  8. Press the 'Delete' screen button
  9. Song is purged from playlist and from the HDD (permanently)
This is cumbersome because obviously if you have a lot of albums on the drive the alphabetized list can be very long and it takes a lot of pressing the down arrow to get through the list. Plus, if any albums have the same name as from another artist (such as 'Greatest Hits') you don't know which is which in the list. Oh well, at least the function exists. Now perhaps I can start cleaning the junk songs off my HDD so I am just left with good songs.

Thanks for the various pieces of advice from above.
