Default Magnaflow getting louder???

I have about 45,000 miles on the Cat-back magnaflow system and it seems to be getting louder at freeway speeds 60-70 mph. Noticed while using cruise control as well, not the drone noise just louder in general. Could the internal packing be going bad, or defective?

I email Magnaflow asking them as well along with my warranty information. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

I have the maggy cat back on my truck it only has 2k on her right now and its the same tone. I had a magnaflow 24" before this one and it got louder after 15k. I wouldn't be worried as of yet. See what magnaflow has to say.

Magnaflow are glasspacks... they get louder as they get older. They are good quality glasspacks so it takes a while, but it is going to happen.

all mufflers get louder after initially being broken in (a week or two), but I dont know about a 45,000 mile mark. thats a little weird. all mufflers slowly deteriorate over time, but what your talking about is definitely different.

My cat-back is the same after about 20,000 km but there was a problem with the band clamp at the muffler recently. I replaced it because the pipe was coming loose and there was a leak. It was definetely louder, but just at startup.

always weld up exhaust. there will be a bunch of people who will say otherwise. But I had about 5 or 6 exhausts on my previous 3rd gen rams (could never find a drone free one). They were all "bolt on". They all came loose. Once going down 95, and all the others driving around town. Finally just had a shop weld it in.
