my dad has a 2004 dakota and at a certain speed it has a loud whine sounds like the rear end but not sure, anyone got any input. any would be appreciated. i know this needs to be in the dakota forum but not getting much luck over there figured some of you might have some input.

I think so. That's what happened to my ram, loud whining noise getting louder as you speed up. If I'd let off the gas it would fade off but as soon as you hit the gas again it would whine. Is it just at a certain speed and how loud is it?

 

its progressivly gotten louder over the last 6 months or so
