Default Adding dual zone climate control

Hey all, I have an 09 1500 SLT with regular ac/heat controls. I saw something on one of the other forums (its probably the worst one) about swapping it out for dual zone. Does anyone know if this is possible? And where do you find the parts? I spent some time on google but couldn't find anything.

Thanks,

Why would you want to go through all that? I have/had ehicles with dual zone. Kinda worthless.

If the wiring is already there, it shouldn't be much of a hassle. I was just something I was knocking around.

Sometimes the wife runs her mouth so much her window fogs up, would be nice to cool off that side of the truck a little!!!

Or maybe heat that side so she falls asleep.

Well, you just should have said so! Bet some forum members can come up with the fastest, least expensive way of getting it done. Almost a emergency.

there is another thread somewhere on this, I don't know what became of it tho. I know that you will have to for sure have to do some sort of flash on the vehicle. Also im not 100% sure that all the sensors for it are installed. There are a few located around the truck to detect the temperature. IF they are installed (which I do doubt) The harnesses will be there, but like I said you will probably need to get it flashed. IF they don't, well I think its too much money to put it in then. Then again it all depends on how much you want to spend.

I'm kind of interested in this too (if it's not too pricey). MY wife freezes, no
matter what I do. She asked that the new truck HAVE dual controls, but the truck I found doesn't have it. If this is reasonably possible, I might make the mods too.

I'm gonna spend some time digging on the internet, I don't feel like doing much work today anyway!

Just something to consider: The dual zone controls will work more effectively if your truck has a console and bucket seats.
Reason? The console acts as a barrier between the two different temperature air streams.
A buddy pointed this out to me.
