Motor dies when MDS goes off
I have a 2011 Hemi w/4700 mi. On occasion, when leaving a stop and turning with low pressure on the throttle, the motor dies briefly. This is to the point that the red light comes on in the display. Usually it catches after I pump the accelerator (I know it's drive-by-wire,but my reflexes are based on 50 years of otherwise.) One time I had to restart the truck with the key. It has had a reflash for "driveability". Has anyone had a similar experience?
Red lighting bolt on the dash? That is a Throttlebody issue. I know that Canada trucks have had throttlebody replacements for issue in cold weather, but most guys dont have any issues.
I'd say you need a new T/b if this is the case(lightning bolt icon)

I would have to agree. I just had my throttlebody replaced on my 2011. The dealer found that the idle sensor had a voltage drop causing the throttle to cut off. This would cause the engine to stall. I've also had this problem on the my 2003 ram 4.7l. If I was coasting on the highway with no load on the engine and the rpms were low, the engine would die.
I would have it looked at maybe they'll find the same thing.
Ps the sensor and throttle body come as one unit. Just so you know.
