Well I have an 11 Ram 1500 WITH the 2 plugs under th dash but WITHOUT EVIC, does that mean I would still need a flash for it to work 100%?

I bought one for my old chevy silverado for around $150. Traded that truck in and pulled the controller out, got a new wiring harness for my dodge, hooked it up and it works great. I don't need it hooked to the Evic because I am concentrating on driving not starring at that. I can go 60 and hit the brakes and the trailer slows at the rate the truck does. I also believe you get what you pay for. So if you spend $45 for one, the you get a cheaper controller. Its all on how much you want to spend.

Just to throw out another mounting idea for those looking at the tekonsha p3, this is how I did mine. Looks good when finished also.

Thats not always true. I think the OEM one may be better or at least has some better features than the more expensive tekonsha. I would have gone with the OEM one if they were the same price, but the OEM one ended up being $75 cheaper.
