Default Badge logos on door

Hey fellas. I had to get a new door skin cause a girl side swiped me. My shop did an excellent job. But, one thing they did wrong was the R A M badge. On my driver side the hemi and ram badges are centered. Hemi on the front fender and ram on the door. On the side they did, the lined the bottom of the two up. But the ram logo is larger. So it looks off.

Long story short, instead of me driving 30 miles to have them move the hemi badge up a 1/4 inch, i am going to do it myself. They told me it was just double sided tape they use. Anyone have a good idea how to take the badge off and what kind of tape to get to stick it back on. Thanks

I'd take the drive. it's a PIA actually.

You would want to use fishing line. 20# or more test will do, but it needs to be thin enough to go between the badge and the paint. You would saw the fishing line back and forth behind the letters. it's fairly easy, but to remove the adhesive on fresh paint is where the PIA begins. I would not use chemicals and you'll have to use a credit card to scrape the residue and whats left off.(wont scratch or scuff if you use goo gone or similar, but again, it's a chemical on fresh clearcoat). i suppose if they baked the paint, you should be good but be careful not to press too hard.
After all that, You'll need to scrape and peel the tape off the backside of the lettering and apply new 3M tape and cut it slightly less than the width of the letters. It's not an easy job! Time consuming more or less.

If they stuck the decals lower on the door, I suspect they might be hiding something?? I'd let them screw it up moving them IMO.

I debadged my whole truck and it looks much cleaner. No more RAM on the doors and no cheap HEMI badge on the front fenders. The only badge i left on the truck is the Bighorn badge and 4x4 on the tailgate. I have not updated my sig pic as you can clearly see the crooked RAM badge on the pass door...ughhh

They are not hiding anything. They just lined the bottom of the badges up. Proly cause it was easiest. I kind of like the look. They are chrome badges and i think it looks good. The other badge just says hemi. It dont have the 5.7 underneath it. I do think those look tacky.

Thanks for the tip. I think i will move the hemi badge up a 1/4 inch cause its a solid one piece. The Ram is 3 seperate pieces. Thats the part they did. I know its petty, but 1/4 inch is very noticeable.
