Got a quote two years ago to have two uprights to a grill guard sand blasted and re-chromed and it was $1150, which was ridiculous since the guy paid $850 for the thing in 2001. I ended up sand blasting it and color match painting it for the guy, actually came out pretty good and I had under $50 in it...

The funny thing in all this is that I chose the Big Horn over the Outdoorsman model because of the chrome! I will be going back to the dealer to see what they will do about it, but what is this plasti-dip I keep hearing about? Would it be a good idea to coat the bumper with this stuff instead?

LOL! That's funny! I thought the stuff was clear in color! Maybe I should dip the whole truck...

^^ haha, the only thing that's clear that you can do is the 3M clear bra for the paint...but the bumper just keep some good carnuba wax on her and clean as much as possible.
